Hello, soon to be Mom! Are you about to give birth in a month or less? Have you packed the things that you and your baby needs after giving birth? If not, here are some important things that you might consider to pack beforehand:

Items for Mom:
  • Nightgown or night dress and bathrobe
  • Bra and Nursing bra
  • Breast pads
  • Underwear (several pairs)
  • Hair ties
  • Slippers
  • Socks
  • Maternity Napkins
  • Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush or comb, deodorant, soap, tissue
  • Comfortable and loose fitting clothing to wear home
Items for Baby:
  • Receiving blanket
  • Warm clothing to wear home/heavy bunting
  • Baby socks
  • Baby hat (especially for cold weather climates)
  • Pairs of scratch mitts
  • Disposable diapers or cloth diapers
  • Blanket or shawl
  • Going home outfit for baby
Items for Dad / Grandparents (or anyone who will be with you at the hospital):
  • Money and other documents needed in the hospital like I.D.'s, PhilHealth (Philippine Health Insurance Corporation) or if you have any other health insurance or health care I.D., etc.
  • Camera or a video camera, it will be nice to have photos or videos of your baby/babies when they come out.
  • Food and drinks.
  • Cellphone and charger.
I also bought the letter that my OB/GYN gave me and give it to the nurses when we were already at the hospital.
